Comes from Bai Mu Quan’s workshop. Porcelain is the material used for its high density and good insulation qualities. It is press-shaped to ensure consistency and precision in form. Nevertheless, this is far from being a mass-produced item as these pots are shaped one by one and corrected individually by an apprentice before being handed over to Master Quan for firing and glazing. A single-coat ash glaze is featured in this series which delivers a vast array of terracotta shades over a greyish base. The satin mat feel of this glaze somewhat resembles the hues and textures obtained from wood firing.
