Hakusan Porcelain Co., Ltd. was founded in 1779 in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, and has been operating in its current form since 1958. Local porcelain is known for its whiteness and translucency. Under the leadership of designer Masahiro Mori, the Hakusan porcelain factory determined the style in post-war Japan. The company has a long history in the production of quality porcelain and has won several awards such as "Good Design" or "Long Life Design". Hakusan embodies the simple elegance of Japanese morphology.
