I was attracted to creating pottery because of my love of tea drinking. I'm a long-time fan. Besides the aesthetics and a certain view of the world and myself in it, tea is a great stimulant that gives me energy and joy. I sit down and have tea first thing in the morning, then I create, I enjoy it, I try to be present when I create. Not messing around in my mind but giving the creation my full attention. I try not to forget to play, to be spontaneous! And at the same time, tea, tea, tea! Cook lunch... And if I allow myself, a walk in the woods. It's a journey!

My inspiration is nature, Japanese and Korean ceramics, Indian potters, but also Moroccan... In fact, the whole ceramic world! I would like to proudly add that I am also inspired by all those contemporary skilled Czech potters. And there are many of them! I fire in the wood kiln of Martin Hanus, Why wood kiln? Apart from earth, water... Another element, fire, which adds a touch to ceramics, is unpredictable, and so the creation, to the result, brings me many surprises as well as life itself! I use Czech clay and simple glaze recipes. Feldspar, ash, quartz in different proportions.
